So I go readmy first Garner Hockey blog, and it's about him hating soccer, yet writing a blog about soccer and apparently his fiance is in her middle adult years, from Jamaica and likes zee German soccer team. Can we please get more Henderson around here.

Soccer and hockey are my two favorite sports to watch and play. You hurt my feelings with that post. I think you should take some time of actually watching world class soccer, not your nieces kicking the ball around whilst you try to stay away and not think of how you would like to fornicate with some of the soccer moms.

By world class do you mean that champions league rubbish where they run around the field with nothing actually happening and the players dropping like they were shot and biting each other??? Yeah, great game.

So is this the year the Oilers finally compete for the playoffs or are they still patiently waiting for a couple more high picks to ruin?

Football(soccer), is basically the same game as hockey only slower(not on ice and larger surface) and you only use your feet instead of a stick.

The same premise applies--time and space. Time and space create plays and create scoring. What do defensemen and goaltenders attempt to do? Take away time and space. If you give up time you will give up space and you will give up goals. When someone is said to have high hockey IQ our vision it is essentially short hand for say they can create time and space.

Great post; however, the part about soccer being slower is misleading. Some games are slower, others are faster. Same thing is true with hockey. Watching the Devils is like watching minor league baseball, watching the Sharks is like being high of PCP.
